Spider vein sclerotherapy is an accepted and well-established procedure for minimally invasive outpatient removal of spider veins. With a fine needle, a sclerosing agent is injected into the spider veins. This leads via deliberate microthrombosis to connective tissue remodeling of the vessel (sclerosis). The vessel is no longer visible from the outside and a beautiful, aesthetic leg as target of spider vein sclerotherapy is achieved. Mostly several sessions are necessary for the spider veins to disappear completely.
